Hidden by A.G. Porter

Hidden, beneath the shadows of the tree;
wondering through the moss and rich, black dirt until it covers me.
Hidden, using the leaves to shield my weary eyes;
burying myself deep down into my empty lies.

Running, someone has broken through my wall;
stumbling over fallen branches until at last I fall.
Running, hiding my shame from that warm light;
crawling to the base of something that’s worth the fight.
